History Twenty-four years ago in 1993, a[er graduaKng from the renowned culinary school Johnson and Wales University, with a Bachelor degree in Food Service Management in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A., Diana Munné Medrano founded Xocolat, C. X A. This is the first specialty chocolate store in Santo Domingo, made with 100% organic Hispaniola Cocoa beans from Dominican Republic farms. 
She took her new skills and heir heritage as a daughter of family owned chocolate factory, Munné Company, and took the challenge and made it possible to elaborate the first Dominican made fine chocolates. Xocolat ́s famous chocolates are well known not only because they’re first in their category but also for Diana ́s creaKvity and recipes.
A variety of white, milk and dark chocolate filled with passion, orange, rum, coffee, hazelnut, coconut are some of her first creaKons. Today Xocolat at the center of Santo Domingo has grown its business with a line of different products. From beverages, bonbons, truffles, chocolate cakes and many different novelKes. Diana works as vice-president of ADOCHEFS since 2015, Dominican chef AssociaKon. This non–profit organizaKon includes disKnguished culinary professionals and their main objecKve is to rescue, protect, developed and promote Dominican Gastronomy naKonally and worldwide.
